As is depicted in the picture, a man, holding a flag in his hand which says "national fitness program", leads his wife and child as well as the rest of his family to run. What the picture intends to convey is that the awareness of the importance of physical exercise has dramatically risen among people across the country.
There is no doubt that the implementation of a nationwide fitness program is truly needed. The following reasons can justify the need of this program. First and foremost, it is the unhealthy lifestyle that demands more physical exercise. For example, most white collars have a sedentary occupation, which will do great harm to their neck, back, waist and overall health condition. The fitness program can temporarily free them from office desks and have some stretch. In addition, people may improve their mental health owing to the implementation of the program. Scientific study shows that physical exercise can help relieve pressure and produce sense of happiness. Thanks to the program, more and more people develop the consciousness to spare some time to take themselves off their daily chores and devote to exercise, which contributes to the promotion of people's living quality.
In the end, it is necessary that immediate and effective measures should be taken so that the program cover more areas and more people can be benefited.
